Why choose the Orion® S-Guard® Summer Horse Rug?

Designed to combine practicality, comfort and style, the Orion® S-Guard® provides lightweight summer coverage without compromising on fit or freedom of movement.

The durable, breathable ripstop fabric provides everyday protection, while Bow Horse® design features help reduce common rugging problems such as shoulder rubs and mane loss. With its tailored fit, adjustable Biothane chest strap and detachable neck rug, the Orion® S-Guard® is designed to keep your horse comfortable and looking their best throughout summer.

Fit & Sizing Guide:

The Orion® S-Guard® is slightly roomier through the neck, chest and shoulders than our standard Orion® fit.

We recommend choosing your horse’s usual rug size, there is no need to size up. Sizing up may result in the rug being too long through the body.

For horses that are particularly narrow through the chest and shoulders, our standard Orion® fit may be a better option.

For particularly broad or heavy-set horses, please see our Extra-Wide sizing.
